HOW I CAN HELP

You Don't Have to Carry This Alone

I feel most called to work with people who are living in bodies that are struggling — whether that's a diagnosed chronic illness, unexplained symptoms, or a pregnancy or postpartum experience that didn't go the way they expected. These are people who are often exhausted, often dismissed, and often holding far more than anyone around them realizes.

Below are the areas I specialize in:

Is this a good fit for you?

You might feel at home in this work if you:

  • Want to feel like a person in the therapy space, not a patient

  • Are okay with some humor and lightness mixed into the hard stuff

  • Are juggling a lot, and want a space that sees you as a whole person

  • Want to be understood without having to over-explain yourself

  • Are ready to engage — even if you don't know exactly what you need yet, you're willing to show up and figure it out

What changes over time

I'm not here to fix you or promise things will look a certain way. What I do hope you'll find, over time, is a growing sense of clarity about what matters to you — and a life that feels more livable, even on the hard days. That might look like setting down some of the weight you've been carrying alone, finding ways to engage with what you value even when your body or circumstances make that complicated, or simply feeling less alone in what you're going through.

CHRONIC ILLNESS & MEDICAL TRAUMA

Living with chronic illness means carrying a mental and emotional load that's invisible to most people. I support clients navigating the grief, anxiety, and identity shifts that come with managing a body that doesn't feel good — and I bring both personal and professional experience to this work.

Common challenges we work through together:

  • Coping with chronic pain and fatigue

  • Finding your way through medical uncertainty

  • Navigating the healthcare system

  • Advocating for your needs

I'm especially drawn to working with people managing:

  • Autoimmune and GI conditions (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, IBD)

  • Chronic pain and fatigue

  • Medical trauma

  • The added weight of navigating chronic illness while pregnant or parenting — a juggle that doesn't get nearly enough attention

PERINATAL MENTAL HEALTH

Pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period can each bring their own emotional challenges — and they don't always show up the way you expect. I support people experiencing postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, and perinatal PTSD at any point along that journey, including:

  • Processing a traumatic birth

  • Postpartum depression and anxiety

  • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders more broadly

  • The unique experience of managing chronic illness while pregnant or postpartum
